Leading car and courier services London looks after its communities

As we gear up for Mental Health Awareness Week, this year’s theme of ‘Community’ is highly relevant for our car and courier services in London. Our communities are at the heart of everything we do and always have been.

We won the Professional Driver QSI Awards silver trophy in the Community category, earlier this year. This award means so much to us because it shines a light on our team’s hard work and commitment to absolute care, which they show our customers every day. Our teams go above and beyond to ensure the safety and comfort of each and every passenger and show the same level of care when running our courier services in London.

The work we do for different communities is wide-ranging. From our fundraising days for Macmillan and Marie Curie to our donation to Highgate Primary School’s outdoor learning initiatives, we want to make a difference.

Our customer communities are equally diverse. We work with finance and legal, fashion and high-end retail, media, TV and film, hospitality, education and health sectors, and more besides. We adapt our services according to the needs of each.

Our patient transport services are designed to make journeys to and from medical appointments as comfortable and stress-free as possible. We have a fleet of private ambulances, which includes saloon cars and wheelchair accessible vehicles, that are used only for this particular service.

We have helped create community in our work with the Think Pink charity, which encourages women to embrace rewarding and flexible careers as self-employed drivers. With women under-represented in our industry, our efforts to buck the gender trends are paying off. Less than 7% of UK taxi / private hire drivers are women yet GLH has a workforce that is 44% female and leadership that is 36% female.
