Marie Curie UK has long been a charity close to our hearts at GLH – as we’re sure it is for many of you too, especially if you have seen first-hand the extraordinary comfort and care they bring to families experiencing terminal illness. From delivering PPE to Marie Curie nurses during the pandemic, to fundraising events, we’ve been supporters for many years but this was our biggest fundraiser yet.
During the month of March we set our teams the challenge of doing a whopping 10,000 steps every day (not always easy when you consider that we spend a lot of our working days sitting behind desks dispatching courier services london, car services london and airport transfers london!) and we asked YOU to donate and help us spread the word.
Then, on Thursday 28th March, we had a Big Yellow Party fundraiser with a lot of laughs and some dazzling outfits. Jonny from Sales won a bottle of bubbly for having done a whopping 308,000 steps by that point and Rhea from Accounts won the prize for most yellow outfit.

We raised an impressive £293 on the day but since then, thanks to everyone who continued to share our JustGiving Link, we’ve raised a mind-blowing £442! This is the equivalent of two blocks of overnight at-home care for a person with a terminal illness and comfort and respite to their loved-ones. So a massive THANK YOU, from the team that shows absolute care, for your absolute care in helping us raise these funds for vital care for the families who need it most!
