We are thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for FOUR Professional Driver QSI awards. Last year we received a special award for being the only operator in the UK to have received a trophy every year for a decade. These awards represent the best of our industry across the country and it means the world to us to be finalists once again. Will our car service london make it an eleven-year record? We certainly hope so!
Here are the awards we’re shortlisted for this year and some of the reasons we are finalists:
Private Hire Operator of the Year Award – We are THE longest established car service london and this isn’t by chance. It’s because our people genuinely care about making a difference to our clients, our communities and our planet. Whether that’s in the daily details of organising airport transfers london, car service london or courier services london or the investments we make in sustainability (see below).
Environment Award – We were the first in our industry to achieve the ISO 14001 Environmental accreditation (which we still uphold today). But in this decade of climate crisis and action, accreditations are the bare minimum. This year we have committed to a Carbon Reduction Plan and signed up to the Government’s Better Futures Programme. Our campaigning and education has increased including our partnership with LoCITY, our recent Cargo Bike Cruise and the teaching of 10,000 future eco-warriors at the John Scott Nature Reserve. We continue to invest in the latest technology – expanding our cargo bike fleet and ultra-low hybrid vans and introducing the Mercedes EQE to our executive fleet.
Community Award – Community is at the heart of everything we do and looking after people has always been what we do best. Our teams have done us proud again this year with fundraising days for Macmillan and Marie Curie and we were proud to donate to Highgate Primary School’s outdoor learning initiatives. Our work with the NHS goes from strength to strength and we are humbled by the patient journeys we see every day. Our partnership with the Think Pink Charity is seeing women across the UK gaining skills, confidence, time and financial independence with careers as professional drivers.
Professional Driver of the Year Award – And speaking of professional drivers, our driver Michael Silverstone is up for Driver of the Year. He is a fantastic driver but that isn’t why we nominated him. We nominated him for the absolute care he shows, not just to our passengers, but everyone he meets and the way he goes above and beyond – from lobbying the council to reopen roads so that he can drop patients at their doors, to waiting with passengers for as long as it takes to make sure they are safe, providing them with everything from refreshments to their preferred music.
The Professional Driver QSI award ceremony takes place on 16th January 2025 so please keep everything crossed for us. We are delighted that Think Pink Charity are the official QSI Awards charity again this year and look forward to raising awareness of their work supporting women beginning their careers as professional drivers.
