Last night saw the Women in Green Business Awards 2025 celebration – and celebrate we did! GLH was Highly Commended in the Diversity and Inclusion Strategy of the Year category.

While we know how hard our teams work every day, providing absolute care to everyone – and we know how significantly their efforts pay off – hearing the announcement was a moment we won’t forget. We were among over 350 UK business leaders, entrepreneurs and sustainability executives, and the atmosphere was electric.

Diversity and inclusivity are very important to us. 78% of our workforce is classed as diverse. Made up of people from different backgrounds and cultures, with a wonderful blend of strengths, at GLH, you don’t have to look far to find empathy, understanding and a desire to help others – our clients and one another. It’s what connects us, what makes us the leading car and courier service in London.

The recognition comes as our remarkable Director, Zoë Walsh, celebrates her 20th year with GLH, making it even more special. She is the driving force behind our diverse and vibrant workforce, the absolute care, kindness, empathy, understanding and passion for helping others. And so much more.

As anyone who knows Zoë will tell you, she has all these qualities in abundance, radiating compassion and professionalism in equal measure.

Throughout these past two decades, her achievements have been extraordinary, including her work with Think Pink, a charity that encourages women to work as self-employed drivers so they can achieve a good work-life balance that suits them, their families, and other commitments. And her efforts to ensure the industry is as sustainable as possible know no bounds.

Zoë commented on GLH’s achievement last night, confirming: “To have our diversity work recognised is just incredible. We feel honoured to be among such inspirational businesses, teams and individuals – all championing both women in business and climate change. Congratulations to everyone who won, was commended, shortlisted and entered.”
