Peddle-Power to the People!

Our cargo bike couriers hit the streets for a different reason this summer: GLH couriers Thomas and Charlie took a quick break from their same day courier deliveries to join 60+ other cargo bikes on a cruise through the iconic streets of London to raise awareness of this increasingly popular alternative mode of delivery.

The event, a collaboration organised by MP Smarter Travel, Team London Bridge, Clean Cities Campaign and Cargo Revolution, saw over 60 cargo bike couriers come together to cruise past London’s iconic landmarks. The sight certainly made passers-by stop and stare and it also captured the interest of the media, which included ITV News and The Evening Standard.

The purpose of the cruise was to raise awareness of electric and peddle-powered vehicles as being key to decarbonising London, creating green jobs and reducing air pollution.
