We are absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted for three categories in the Women in Green Business Awards 2025.

Our very own Zoë Walsh, GLH’s sales and Customer Relations Director, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Transport Professional of the Year award and Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year award. And GLH is a finalist in the prized Diversity and Inclusion Strategy of the Year category.

Being finalists in not just one, but two awards that celebrate diversity and recognise our initiatives in this area is an honour for us. We are dedicated to the safety and well-being of people in the LGBTQA+ community and are careful to maintain the highest levels of professionalism and care. Our drivers are trained in LGBTQA+ awareness and many are from the LGBTQA+ community.

Confirmation of our exciting news noted: “…we’re honoured to be able to recognise your dedication to sustainable business practices and your efforts to advance the cause of green business as a finalist at this year’s awards.”

There were more than 450 entries submitted and what makes us, at GLH, so happy is the increasing recognition of the work being carried out by women right across the green economy.

The fact that there has been an increase in entries shows not only that so much great work is being done by women in both a business and environmental sense, it also shows increased confidence in talking about it – showing others what has been achieved and how. We have always known we need to work together to tackle climate change and this shows us that we are making a difference.

Zoë said of the achievement: “We are honoured and humbled at finding out we’ve been shortlisted for three such esteemed awards. We are proud to be standing alongside our fellow finalists, working for the greater good. We feel this work, and recognition of it, is gaining momentum and are so happy about that. Winners are due to be announced on 8th October at the awards ceremony taking place at Marriott Grosvenor Square, hosted by BusinessGreen.
