Ain’t no party like our 35th Annual Staff Awards party!

We were a bit concerned about how we were going to top last year’s staff awards party which also marked our 50th anniversary … but it turns out we needn’t have worried. There was so much to celebrate and if there was an award for celebrating in style, we think Team GLH would win that too!

The last 12 months have seen some big changes for GLH. From a new brand and website, to an office move and new systems. We are incredibly proud of the way that everyone has pulled together to make the transition as smooth as possible and that they always do whatever they can to make sure our customers are happy.

This year saw our drivers rebranded as Wish Granters, Swift Navigators and Smile Makers – and boy have they lived up to their new names! Likewise, our couriers have now been renamed Shortcut Creators, Time Redeemers and Traffic Conquerors to reflect the lengths they go to for our customers.

It was a pleasure to see David Hosler receive the award for Van Driver of the Year. Many of you may recognise David from our website and social media where his photo regularly features.

And, of course, nothing would happen at GLH without our fantastic office and dispatch teams. Not only are they often our clients’ first point of contact, they have to make quick and complex decisions 24/7 to ensure we deliver the service we promise. It was great to be able to formally recognise their daily above-and-beyond attitude, with Customer Services scooping the award for Best Department thanks to their brilliant engagement with all our clients.

The John Scott Memorial Trophy was presented to Peter Ross who has been with us since the very beginning of our staff awards parties and this year celebrates 35 years’ service.

Rob Scott, MD, said on the night, “We must embrace the future – but it will always be people that come first.” If it wasn’t for our people – our teams, communities and customers – we would not have thrived for over 50 years. This night aimed to recognise the input of everyone at GLH and special awards were given to

After dinner and awards presentations, Team GLH hit the dancefloor and demonstrated that it’s not just on the roads where we make all the best moves and manoeuvres!
