Jane Clark celebrates 20 years with her GLH family!

As the car and courier service that takes absolute care, we pride ourselves on looking after our people – whether that’s our customers and communities – in case you haven’t heard, we won gold in the community category of our national industry awards – or our brilliant teams. GLH remains independent and family-run and we are pleased to say that many of our employees have been with us for the long haul. Most people at GLH describe it as a ‘family’ and we are committed to retaining that atmosphere. So, it was fantastic to be able to celebrate 20 years at GLH with our Fleet Administrator Supervisor, Jane Clark…

Jane first started at GLH as a telephonist, after her husband Mick began working at GLH and suggested she apply for weekend work. We are very pleased to say that Mick also still works here and is now one of our excellent executive drivers.

Thanks to her friendly professionalism and ability to think on her feet, it was clear that Jane was an asset to our team and she soon became an assistant to our Passenger Car Manager. Following this she became an assistant to our IT and Driver Services Director and our Finance Director. Jane also worked in our Insurance team before becoming our Fleet Administration Supervisor, which is the role she now has – and is incredibly good at thanks to many years’ experience!

Jane said, “GLH has grown a lot over the years but most people stay and it is still a family. I know it sounds corny but I just love my job.”

We asked Jane what advice she would give to someone staring work at GLH. “I would tell them what a great family business it is, that everyone is very friendly and it’s a very fair company to work for.”
