We won bronze, silver and gold at national industry awards!

Pro-Drivers Awards-2017

What a month we’ve had! After many months of work on our new brand and website, we were over the moon to win the coveted gold award for Marketing at this year’s national Professional Driver Magazine QSi Awards. In addition, we won a Silver award for our work with our local communities and, best of all, our incredible driver Marc Brodie won Driver of the Year award for the above-and-beyond care he shows to all our passengers, particularly those needing extra support. We couldn’t be prouder of Marc and all our drivers.

Team GLH got their glad rags on and attended the glamorous awards ceremony, where we were presented with the awards. We were shortlisted in five categories and you can read all about why we were chosen here.

For anyone who doesn’t know, the QSi awards – which stands for Quality, Service and Innovation – are the only national awards for the UK’s Chauffeur and Private Hire Industry and are run by industry publication Professional Driver Magazine.

Our Sales and Customer Relations Director, Zoë Walsh said, “I think the whole team would agree that the award we are most proud of is Marc’s. He – and his colleagues – do such an incredible job of representing us in their skilled driving and in the care they show to our customers every day. The reason we’ve kept our reputation for 50 years is because of people like Marc, who will take the time to build up good relationships with our customers – in one case even contacting support agencies after being concerned about an older passenger living alone.

“We’ve built a reputation on being the passenger car firm that makes every journey matter and really looks after people whether they are our customers or not – so winning the silver award for our community work meant so much to us. And to win the gold award for our rebrand – which so much research, thought and work went into – was the icing on the cake!”

Professional Driver Editor Mark Bursa said: “GLH has taken its branding by the scruff of its neck and dragged it into the future, and thoroughly deserves the Gold award. The company has focused on its people, developed a bold new look and broadened its appeal to hip, young consumers with buzzwords that would shame the brightest dot-com. Not bad for a company that celebrated its 50th birthday this year.”

Mark Bursa added: “GLH is the only company to have won a QSi Award in every one of the five years that the awards have been running. That’s consistency!

We are committed, not only to raising our standards every year, but to helping raise the standards of our industry as a whole and it was great to be able to spend the evening celebrating the successes of like-minded organisations from all over the UK.

Whether you are a corporate firm looking for a reputed passenger car or courier provider, or a passenger that wants to book a one-off cab or courier with a trusted firm, you are guaranteed the same award-winning care and attention to detail.
